Please review the following information about our registration process and course policies.

  1. The cost of the course is $590, which includes registration fees and all course materials.
  2. $80 state fees ARE NOT INCLUDED IN TUITION.
  3. 50% ($295) of course tuition is due when you submit the registration form to hold your seat. The remainder is due before scheduling skills dates. Please be advised that all money paid is 100% non-refundable if you don't notify our office that you want to withdraw at least 7 days prior to the start date.
  4.  Please make sure that you meet all state requirements before taking this course because we do not guarantee that you will be certified by the state if you do not meet their requirements.
  5. You must provide a valid photo ID, birth certificate, social security card, passport-sized photo (2" X 2"), and if applicable, proof of residency at the time of registration.
  6. You must have a health physical completed before scheduling your skills date.
  7. Skills are held on 2 days in the same week for 8 hours each day. If you miss a skills day, you may attend the next available class for the cost of $50 if there are seats available.
  8. We recommend scheduling your 1-hour final exam before leaving clinical or sooner.
  9. Testing will not be permitted until you complete the 76-hour course. We also will not provide your letter of completion for the BON until the course is completed.
  10. You must be present in class every day, arrive on time, and not leave until dismissed by the instructor.
  11. You must abide by all current CDC and state guidelines during these uncertain times.
  12. You must wear scrubs and closed-toed shoes.
  13. Students may NOT park in  patient-dedicated spaces.
  14. No cellphone usage is permitted inside our office or in front of the office. You may go to your car if you need to take a call. You must notify the instructor before exiting the office.
  15. A textbook rental fee is included in the tuition. Please be advised that the book must come back in the same condition it was received. Do not write or highlight on any of the pages. Do not spill food or drinks on the pages. You will be required to pay a $50 fee if the textbook is damaged, lost, stolen, or misused.
  16. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may lead to you being expelled from the course without a refund.
  17. Please dispose of any trash in the appropriate containers and do not leave any personal belongings behind, as we are not responsible for them.
  18. If you need to use the bathroom before a break, please quietly exit the classroom. Our class is held at our office; please respect that it is a place of business. (Use your inside voice.)
  19. Please have a meal before class and bring a lunch or snacks and beverages for break time.
  20. The Board of Nursing requires all CHHA students to have a promise of employment by an agency to get certified. This process should begin prior to starting the course. This can be a timely process.
  21. We may offer you employment after you obtain your CHHA license. However, we select our candidates carefully to make sure we are providing the best patient care for our clients.
  22. All interested candidates must apply and go through our interview process if your application is selected. The application process will include a physical and PPD/Chest X-Ray along with a competency exam.
  23. The BON requires all students to get a background check and have fingerprints taken before being certified. The cost of these requirements is NOT included with your tuition. These documents will be mailed/emailed to you from the state your application is submitted.
  24. If you have been arrested or convicted of a "Disqualifying Crime", please inform the office. You will need to provide additional documentation to the BON. This includes judgment of convictions, sentencing order, termination of probation (if applicable), and documents that present clear and convincing evidence of rehabilitation (letters of recommendation/reference).
  25. If you have student loans in default (meaning you have not made all required payments and do not have a deferment agreement with your loan provider), you will need to contact your loan provider to arrange for a new payment arrangement to get out of default.
  26. If you have child support arrears, you may still receive training but may not get a certification from the BON. Please inform the office before starting class.
